Rent a villa or room with friends and family

Invite your friends or bring your family together to enjoy a relaxing time in the peace and tranquility of Calliola. Make yourselves comfortable in a beach house, or book a smaller suite or a room with a terrace. Activities and experiences in nature

The grounds and surroundings of Calliola offer loads to do for the whole family. There are four beach saunas, an idyllic small marina, three beaches, a disc golf course, a badminton court, a volleyball court, an archery field, different kinds of yard games, and swings for children. The location by the sea offers different types of outdoor activities for each season, from fishing during summer to sledding on the ice during winter.

You can also rent kayaks, SUP boards, yoga mats, touring skates, and snowshoes from us. The nearby nature trails are also great for hikes, treks, biking, and jogging. The peace of the archipelago, fresh sea air, and pristine nature will make you forget the hustle and bustle of your busy schedule, no matter the weather or season.

Fishing in the Snappertuna archipelago

The waters of Snappertuna are well-known for their Pike, Pike-Perch, and Perch stocks throughout the year. Plan a fishing trip on your own, or ask our sales department for information on guided fishing trips where a fishing instructor will take you and your party to the best fishing spots.

Amazing beach saunas

An integral part of any Finnish holiday is, of course, the sauna. First, enjoy the heat of the sauna before taking a dip outside in the refreshing sea. The Finnish sauna is a unique experience, combining the best of: spending time together, relaxing, and getting to know the therapeutic and revitalizing effects of this centuries-old tradition.

Cultural experiences and historical sites nearby

Calliola is only a short distance away from Tammisaari, Fagervik, and Fiskars villages – all beautiful and popular day-trip destinations. Just a 10-minute drive away, you can also find the Arcadian Village of Snappertuna and the Raseborg Castle – an area that was the center of governance in Finland from medieval times all the way through to 1634.

Tammisaari, a beautiful old town, is just a 20-minute drive away. The newest attraction there is Villa Skippet, a house that the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto designed for his friends Göran and Christine Schildt, and was only recently opened to the public.

Take a trip to Tammisaari’s market for fresh produce and handicrafts or drive 30 minutes to Fagervik, Finland’s first ironworks. Founded in the 18th century during Sweden’s reign over Finland – it was the first place in Finland where potatoes were planted. Some argue that potatoes are the foundation of traditional Finnish cuisine and nutrition.

Enjoy local food at Calliola

The full-course dinners that our chef cooks from the best local ingredients leave our guests speechless every time. The game and mushrooms used in our kitchen come from the surrounding forests, fish from the nearby waters, and lamb from the nearby organic farm called Bovik. We bake our bread ourselves from local flour, and even the honey we use comes from our neighbor’s apiary. Our fantastic food is equally matched by the great wines on our wine list – thanks to the extensive selection of quality wines in our cellar.
