In Calliola’s beach saunas, you get to enjoy the heat and experience the Finnish sauna. In addition to enjoying the heat, you can take a dip in the sea or try could-water swimming in the winter; or sit on the terrace, enjoying the breathtakingly beautiful archipelago and our view out to the sea.

Whether it is a romantic moment, a fun experience with the family or part of a celebration, this is an experience you will not forget. In addition to being a leisure activity, sauna at the end of a conference day and before dinner, is a good way to freshen up and relax.

Beautiful archipelago views and tranquility

Calliola is located in Snappertuna’s archipelago, by the beautiful Barösund and Suomenlahti. Each season in the archipelago is uniquely beautiful: light and warm in the summer, wintery and quiet in the winter. The tranquility and beauty of the archipelago leaves our guests speechless every time.

Five saunas for parties and occasions of different sizes

Sauna is an integral part of Finnish culture and way of life. Going to the sauna is both a way of spending time together and experiencing something new, as well as feeling like you belong. These are some of the reasons why we have put a lot effort into creating the unique sauna experience we have at Calliola.

There are five saunas for our guests on Calliola grounds:

Merilöyly is a two-storey sauna for 12 people. In addition to the sauna, guests can spend time in Merilöyly’s cabin or on its large terrace by the sea.

Isolöyly and Pikkulöyly are smaller beach saunas, decorated in retro style and located side by side just by the sea. These saunas work excellently for bigger parties where women and men wish to go to the sauna separately, but can still spend time together outside.

Two of our saunas are located in villas and are primarily for use of the guests in each villa. One of these is Luoto, a beautiful two-storey villa that sleeps five guests.

Villa Saaristo suite is Calliola’s pearl. In this 19th century fisherman’s house, there is a lounge with a fireplace, a bedroom for two, a kitchen and a wood fired sauna with a sea view. Villa Saaristo provides a quality maritime feel and privacy with its own beach. Villa Saaristo is a popular beach house and rental for vacations, as well as our romantic wedding night suite for wedding couples.

An important part of going to the sauna by the sea taking a dip in the water, or even taking a swim. Cold water swimming in winter and the rush of wellbeing that comes after, is an experience in and of its own.

Going to the sauna in Calliola is a unique experience in each season, and the beautiful view is always special in its own way. You can also order food from our sauna menu to any of our saunas.
